Chris Hoehn recently received the University of Southern Indiana’s Distinguished Service Award. Hoehn has been a valued and dedicated presence via the Diocesan Newman Center and Office of Religious Life. She began serving in campus ministry at USI in 1986. She served for seven years before taking a year to study at St Meinrad and worked part-time that year, before returning in 1995. She took a brief leave to help her mother recuperate from a serious car accident, then returned to full-time campus ministry in 1999. USI’s Distinguished Service Award is given to someone who has displayed commitment to one or more of the following - leadership in professional organization, mentoring activities, long-term service to student affairs, research and contribution - significantly during the 2021-22 academic year, but also over the course of the time they have been in the division of student affairs.
