Father Tony Ernst, administrator of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Vincennes, made a Eucharistic procession after the 11 a.m. EDT Mass June 19. Father Tony said the procession helped kick-off the yearlong Eucharistic Renewal in our diocese. A large group of parishioners joined Father Tony in the procession, which started at St. John the Baptist Church and concluded at the Old Cathedral. Brief stops were made along the journey to offer special prayers and to sing songs. Father Tony said the Eucharistic procession is a great tradition in our Catholic faith, and it’s a wonderful way to pray for parish families and the entire community.
