Special to The Message
There are many ways friends, supporters and admirers of the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand can express their appreciation during Catholic Sisters Week, which is March 8-14.
One way to express appreciation to the Sisters is to send a card, note or letter to one Sister, more than one Sister or all the Sisters to let them know how much they matter and that they are appreciated. Send the message by email at [email protected] or to the Monastery Immaculate Conception Attn. Catholic Sisters Week Team, 802 E. 10th St., Ferdinand, IN 47532. In either case, messages will be collected and shared with the Sisters March 10.
Another way is to post on social media. On your Facebook or Instagram account, share a post about a special Sister or about all the Sisters. Be sure to tag the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand in your post @ferdinandosb. If possible, include the hashtags #catholicsistersweek and #sistersofstbenedictferdinand.
Individuals may also pray for the Sisters. The Sisters are always praying for all of us. Return the favor by praying for them throughout Catholic Sisters Week.
The Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand are one of the largest Benedictine communities of women in the United States, with over 100 members. They seek God through the Benedictine tradition of community life, prayer, hospitality and service to others.
