Special to The Message
Show your support and admiration for Catholic Sisters who have impacted your life or the lives of loved ones during Catholic Sisters Week from March 8-14.
This year, Catholic Sisters Week is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Organized by the Communicators for Women Religious (CWR), the week-long celebration is an official component of Women’s History Month, and it highlights the diverse, dynamic and impactful ways Catholic Sisters serve.
Religious communities who serve within the Diocese of Evansville include: the Daughters of Charity; The Benedictines of Mary, Queen of the Apostles; Sisters of St. Benedict; Little Company of Mary Sisters; Sisters of Providence; Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis (O.S.F.) and the Dominican Sisters of Springfield.
Consider expressing your appreciation by sending a card or note to a Catholic Sister, sending an email or showing your gratefulness to them through a social media post. Individuals may also pray for the Sisters, as they are always praying for all of us.
If you see a Catholic Sister during March 8-14, tell her “Happy Catholic Sisters Week!”
