Bishop Joseph M. Siegel has announced the following pastoral assignments in the Diocese of Evansville, all effective June 25.
Father Garrett Braun has been released to the Military Archdiocese to fulfill his commitment as a chaplain in the United States Air Force.
Father Luke Hassler has been assigned as pastor of Corpus Christi Parish in Evansville, continuing his part-time ministry as spiritual director at the Fr. Deydier Houses of Formation and Discernment in Evansville.
Father Vargheese Kalaparakudi has been assigned as administrator of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Petersburg and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Oakland City.
Father Ron Kreilein will resign as pastor of St. Bernard Parish in Rockport and St. Martin I Parish in Chrisney, and he will move to senior priest status.
Father Jaison Kuzhiyil has been assigned as administrator of St. Bernard Parish in Rockport and St. Martin I Parish in Chrisney.
Father Bill Nicholas has been assigned as administrator of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Ireland.
Father Frank Renner will resign as pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Petersburg and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Oakland City, and he will move to senior priest status.
Father Caleb Scherzinger has been appointed part-time Campus Minister at Vincennes University, while continuing as parochial vicar at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Vincennes and St. Philip Neri Parish in Bicknell.
Deacon Nicholas Biever, following his ordination to the priesthood on June 14, will be assigned as parochial vicar at St. Philip Parish in Posey County.
Deacon Keith Hart, following his ordination to the priesthood on June 14, will be assigned as parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish in Jasper.
Deacon Aaron Herrenbruck, following his ordination to the priesthood on June 14, will be assigned as parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Daylight and St. Bernard Parish in Snake Run.
