Washington Catholic Schools is proud to announce the appointment of Peyton Catt as the school’s athletic director. Catt will also serve as the varsity head boys basketball coach.
A passionate educator and leader, Catt brings a strong background in athletics, student development and Catholic education.
“I’m incredibly honored to join Washington Catholic and excited to lead the athletic program and boys basketball team,” Catt said in the press release sent by the school. “I look forward to building strong relationships with our students, families and community, and continuing the tradition of excellence in Catholic education and athletics.”
A graduate of Rivet High School and the University of Southern Indiana, Catt earned his Bachelor of Science in sport management, graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2024. Catt’s experience as a student athlete and his deep connection to Catholic values make him a natural fit for the Washington Catholic community, according to the press release.
Catt most recently served as the middle school athletic director and transportation director at Rivet High School, where he managed athletic scheduling, coordinated transportation logistics and supported program development. He has also held multiple coaching roles in basketball, soccer and tennis. He is known for fostering a positive, hardworking culture among student athletes, the release states.
In addition to his leadership in athletics, Peyton has worked in the classroom as a Physical Education and substitute teacher, building strong relationships with students and supporting their academic and personal growth.
