On Feb. 17, several Cub Scout Packs and youth organizations ages 7-10 attended a Faith Day at Good Shepherd Parish in Evansville. Scout Faith Day is an annual event sponsored by the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting (DCCS). Faith Day is open to scout units and all youth organizations sponsored by Catholic organizations in the Diocese of Evansville, however, everyone is invited. Participating units this year included those sponsored by the following parishes: Good Shepherd Parish in Evansville (P-362), Holy Rosary Parish in Evansville (P-312), St. Philip Parish in Posey County (Little Flowers Girls Club) and St. Joseph Parish in Jasper (P-182).

The theme of Faith Day was “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). The participants were presented with three short reflections on the Faith Day theme and then participated in activities that highlighted each reflection. These activities included cookie decorating, candle making and a three-legged race. Youngsters sang and had time for prayer and personal reflection.
