The Diocese of Evansville Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the Office of Catechesis hosted their first overnight retreat for youth ministers and faith formation leaders April 4-5 at St. Meinrad. There were 26 ministers in attendance. The theme was “Resting in the Paschal Mystery.” The retreat allowed parish ministers to have time to rest and pray after Lent and Holy Week activities.The retreat also included vespers with the monks, Eucharistic Adoration with Confession available, Mass and an evening social that included games and a visit with several diocesan seminarians. Diocese Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry Jeremy Goebel, Diocese Director of Catechesis Joel Padgett and Diocese Office of Catechesis Program Manager Nicholas Soellner were the conference speakers.
