Formation Day 2022 features Steve Angrisano

Special to The Message

“Let Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament speak to your hearts” (Pope Saint John Paul II).

During this time of Eucharistic Renewal, the Office of Catechesis invites all catechists, RCIA team members, youth ministers, parish catechetical leaders, pastors, principals and teachers to join us for Formation Day – a day to learn, pray, collaborate and celebrate our call to catechize and evangelize.

This year’s theme is “Eucharist: Believe, Celebrate, Live.” –  “La Eucaristía: Creer, Celebrar, Vivir”

As we celebrate the Eucharistic Renewal, it only seems fitting to spend time during this Formation Day in prayer, study and reflection of this most beautiful gift given to us by Jesus himself.

The Eucharist is the Source and Summit of our faith. It holds the place of utmost importance, for it embodies our very life in Christ. From it springs forth what we believe, how we celebrate our belief as one body, and how we are sent forth into our worlds to bring this truth to everyone we encounter.

Our keynote speaker this year is Steve Angrisano. Steve is one of the most effective and versatile ministry leaders in the Church today. People of all ages embrace the passionate message of faith that he weaves throughout his music and storytelling.

A veteran musician, composer and youth minister, Steve has performed at Seven World Youth Days (Panama 2019 being his latest;, the National Catholic Youth Conference; and many other national and international events. Of all of his achievements, Steve is most proud to be husband to Jenni and father to his three children.

Steve will be joined by outstanding presenters for breakout sessions. Bishop Siegel will join us for opening prayer. The schedule for the day appears at the right. Vendors will also be on hand offering participants the opportunity to view current catechetical resources, books for personal reflection and religious gifts. An expanded version of the schedule, description of sessions, listing of presenters and registration may be found online at: https://www.evdio.org/formation-day.html.

We hope you will be able to join us for the day. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Catechesis at 812 424-5536, extension 228, or email [email protected].
