Sister Sarah Cathleen Yungwirth is from Hagerstown, Maryland. She taught for many years at St. Raphael School and St. Patrick School, and has served as Associate Director for Vocations for the Archdiocese of Louisville. She presently serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry for a local parish.

From Rush City, Minnesota, Sister Celeste Boda served in the Minnesota Army National Guard, 204th Medical Battalion, 47th Infantry Division, rising to become a Medical Service Corp Officer and retiring as a Captain. After working various accounting jobs for 25 years, Sister Celeste spent over six years working on the Marriage Tribunal. She returned to legal work as a Judicial Assistant for the Tribunal Diocese of Owensboro. Today, she manages Central Purchasing for the monastery and serves in their Archives.

Sister Robin Lynn Evans came to Ferdinand by way of another religious community. She has served in the monastery’s hydroponic garden, and continues to maintain the monastery gardens as well as serving in the bakery.

Those wishing to celebrate any or all of these Sisters by making a gift to the Sisters of St. Benedict in their honor can do so at thedome.org/donate.  As the form is completed, the option to note that it is a gift in honor of a sister will become available.
