NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING

The Holy Family Center for Life has been continuously providing natural family planning services in southwest Indiana since 1998. A June 2021 article in The Message outlined the history of HFCL. Visit The Message (https://evdiomessage.org/columns/natural-family-planning/) to read the original article, or find our history and more at the new HFCL website (https://holyfamilycenterforlife.com/).

HFCL began by offering instruction in a single method of NFP, and has grown to offer comprehensive instruction in two scientific methods of NFP that both offer a higher effectiveness rate than the birth control pill. The ministry has also developed general information programs for high school students and engaged couples.

“The Truth about NFP” presents the Church’s teaching about contraception, and the benefits and effectiveness of modern scientific methods of NFP. Presentations for engaged couples are offered throughout the year around the diocese. Presenters visit each Catholic high school in the diocese once per year.

In 2022, we began our first community social event, a summer picnic, to bring NFP families together for fellowship. Our newest program offers individual consultations available to women looking for more information about navigating perimenopause naturally.

At the new website, HolyFamilyCenterforLife.com, visitors will be able to access in-depth descriptions of our individual services, specific information about the Creighton and Marquette models of NFP, online scheduling for all of our services and presentations, and information on how to join our volunteer and user support networks.

We are proud of what HFCL has been able to provide over the past 25 years, and humbled by the trust our clients and supporters place in us. We are grateful for your continued prayers and support as we expand our ministry with the launch of our new website.
