Holy Rosary Faith Day welcomes Archbishop Paul Etienne

Special to The Message

Holy Rosary Parish is happy to welcome Archbishop Paul Etienne of Seattle, Washington, as the speaker for the annual Faith Day from 1-4:30 p.m. CST March 15 at Holy Rosary Parish, located at 1301 S. Green River Rd., Evansville, IN 47715.

Archbishop Etienne was appointed by Pope Francis to serve as a delegate to the Synod held in Rome, which concluded last October. The heart of the Synod was a call by the Holy Spirit for conversion and for all baptized to be “Partners in the Gospel.” Archbishop Etienne will share the process of the Synod, which involved prayerful reflection, respectful listening and consultation.

Hopefully, Faith Day participants will be enriched spiritually and have a greater energy and commitment to be active members, carrying out the mission of Jesus Christ! The day will be especially helpful to women and men on staff, committees, commissions and parish councils who bring leadership to the parish, but all will leave as winners. Archbishop Etienne is the brother of both Father Bernie Etienne, pastor at Holy Rosary, and Father Zach Etienne, pastor at Good Shepherd Parish in Evansville.

Register by March 12 by calling Holy Rosary at 812-477-8923. A free-will offering will be accepted at the event. Consider bringing canned fruits or vegetables for the parish food pantry.

Following Faith Day, Archbishop Etienne will preside at the 4:30 p.m. Mass. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to grow in your faith and recommit yourself to the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. All are welcome!
