The Message photos by Tim Lilley
Students from Evansville’s Resurrection School and their families gathered more than 3,000 food items and more than $1,000 in donations to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Tradition at Resurrection has been to collect the food and financial donations for delivery on the Friday before Thanksgiving. Several vehicles loaded with food and volunteers arrived at the food pantry Nov. 17. The first photo shows students and volunteers beginning to organize donated food items after unloading them. The second shows Benedictine Sister Donna Marie Herr, manager of the food pantry, helping a student stock shelves with donated food.
