Rev. Jack Durchholz dies July 14

REVEREND JACK DURCHHOLZ

Rev. Jack J. Durchholz, 69, senior priest of the Diocese of Evansville, died July 14. He was born July 11, 1957, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Martin and Mildred (Folz) Durchholz.

He was ordained a priest March 18, 1995, at Good Shepherd Parish in Evansville by Bishop Gerald A. Gettelfinger. He served the Diocese of Evansville in many ways over the years, most recently as pastor of St. Clement Parish in Boonville, before retiring from active ministry in February.

Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. CDT Sunday, July 19, with a Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m., at Good Shepherd Parish, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd, Evansville, IN 47715. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Good Shepherd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop Joseph M. Siegel and concelebrated by priests of the Diocese of Evansville at 10 a.m. CDT Monday, July 20, at Good Shepherd. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Evansville.
