Savio youth honored at Awards Night

Savio participants and their families filled Sacred Heart Church in Evansville May 4 for the Savio Awards Night. 

Select Savio youth participants were presented with four different awards, including the St. John Bosco Senior Award, St. Dominic Savio Award for Leadership and the St. Dominic Savio Award for Virtue.

Recipients of the St. John Bosco Senior Award were Lucas Church, Noah Esch, Noah Kiesel and Isaiah Schaefer.

Recipients of the St. Dominic Savio Award for Leadership were James Elpers, Aiden Fehrenbacher, Isaiah Lueken and Sam Parmer.

Recipients of the St. Dominic Savio Award for Virtue were Patrick Elpers, Tobias Lueken, Mason Sammet, Luke Lovell, Luke Shumate, Matt Wilzbacher,  Crewe Hasenour, Lukas Kiesel and Patrick Verkamp. 

Many Savio members received the Oratorian award for Christian formation. 

Awards for House of Formation, House of Discernment residents

Men who this past year were in the House of Formation and House of Discernment were also given certificates of recognition. Those who were recognized for being part of the propadeutic stage in the House of Formation are Jake Evitts, Allen Lasher, Evan Sexton, Eli Steckler and Brett Wilkey. 

Those recognized as part of the House of Discernment in the 2024-2025 year were Paul Folz, Braden Lents, Landon Mayer and Sam Naas.
