The Serra Club of Evansville is proud to once again sponsor the Serra Youth Service Award, which recognizes eighth grade students in the Diocese of Evansville for Christian leadership, Christian formation and community involvement.
It is fitting to recognize the service of the students because it is from service that vocations grow. All vocations: priesthood, religious life, married life and single life require a desire for one to give of themselves in order for the vocation to flourish. The Serra Club of Evansville through its programs and activities assists in promoting and fostering vocations in the diocese.
The Youth Service Award program is held at the end of each school year to honor those students in diocesan schools and religious education programs who have consistently given of themselves through their involvement in their parish and community.
