Benedictine Father Paul Nord of St. Meinrad Archabbey, Seminary and School of Theology joins The Message this week as our new “Sunday Scripture” columnist. Father Paul replaces Father Donald Dilger, senior priest of the Diocese of Evansville, who concluded 36 years of service to the paper with our Nov. 24 issue.
Father Paul is a son of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Dale and a graduate of Southridge High School in Huntingburg. In addition to his formation at St. Meinrad, he studied at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He teaches Sacred Scripture at St. Meinrad Seminary, and his students include Diocese of Evansville seminarians.
Father Paul said, “My monastic community has given me the opportunity to spend many hours studying the Bible. I love teaching and sharing what I have learned as we grow together in faith in Christ Jesus.”
