The Evansville area experienced a total solar eclipse April 8. All the schools in the Diocese of Evansville were closed April 8 to allow students and their families the opportunity to view the total solar eclipse. Some schools were closed for the day, while some schools utilized a virtual learning day.

Several parishes and schools shared photos of their total solar eclipse viewing parties from across the diocese. The Message will publish additional photos of eclipse viewing from across the Diocese of Evansville in upcoming weekly editions.

We thank parishes and schools across our diocese for sharing these memories with The Message!
