St. Bernard Summer Social is Aug. 21
This 1967 Corvette convertible is the top prize in the 2021 Corvette raffle being held by St. Bernard Parish in Rockport. Some tickets remain, but they are going fast. Tickets are $30 each or four for $100. The drawing will occur Aug. 21 during the parish’s annual social, which will be on the parish grounds in Rockport. After taking a year off in 2020 due to COVID-19, the St. Bernard Parish Summer Social returns Aug. 21 on the church grounds at 6th and Pearl St. in Rockport. The 2021 social features faux turtle soup sold by the gallon starting at Noon CDT. Soup buyers will need to bring their own containers. Pork chop dinners for dine-in or carryout starts at 4 p.m. CDT in the St. Bernard gym. The beer and wine garden will be open from 7 p.m. CDT until 10 p.m. CDT with live music featuring local band Southern Rewind.
Raffles include a quilt raffle, the big money raffle with the top prize of $1,000, and the annual classic car raffle featuring a red 1967 Corvette convertible. All raffle drawings will be held at 9 p.m. CDT. Corvette raffle tickets can be purchased prior to the Summer Social by calling 812-649-9113.
