The Message photos by Tim Lilley
Students at Evansville’s Corpus Christi School enjoyed an Aug. 10 Q&A session with Parish Administrator Father Bill Nicholas, who recently relocated to the Diocese of Evansville from the Archdiocese of San Francisco, California. Corpus Christi Principal Andrea Greaney and the faculty organized three sessions for Father Bill - one for kindergarteners through second-graders; one for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders; and one for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders. In the first photo, Father Bill leans over to get a question during the session for grades K-2. In the second, he answers a question during the session for grades 3-5 while students have their hands raised to ask more questions. The other photo shows Father Bill talking about his time in parish ministry in California. During the K-2 session, one of the youngsters asked Father Bill why he decided to become a priest. He said, "I thought, ‘If not me, who?’” Another asked how long he had been a priest. Father Bill was ordained to the priesthood in June 2001, so he has been a priest for 22 years.
