So as to foster the safety of minors as well as a fair and just response to allegations of sexual abuse of minors by clergy, following consultation with the Council of Priests and the Diocesan Review Board, and in accord with canon 51 of the Code of Canon Law, I hereby promulgate Policies and Procedures Regarding Allegations of Sexual Abuse of Minors by Clergy as particular law for the Diocese of Evansville.
The provisions of this decree are effective immediately 11 June 2021, all things to the contrary notwithstanding.
