Diocese’s Catholic high schools celebrate 2023 commencements

Seniors at the Diocese of Evansville’s four Catholic high schools became graduates and alumni May 20-21 during commencement ceremonies held in Evansville, Vincennes and Washington.

Washington Catholic and Vincennes Rivet held commencements in their towns May 20 – Washington at the old school gymnasium on the Our Lady of Hope Parish campus, and Vincennes at the Highland Woods Community Center in Vincennes. Mater Dei and Reitz Memorial held commencements May 21 at Evansville’s Old National Events Plaza.

Bishop Joseph M. Siegel and Diocesan Superintendent of Schools Michelle Priar attended the commencements, and Bishop Siegel offered his message to graduates. The Message will publish Bishop Siegel’s message to all 2023 graduates across the diocese in a future issue.

Bishop Siegel presented diplomas to 121 graduates of Mater Dei, 127 graduates of Reitz Memorial, 11 graduates of Rivet and 22 graduates of Washington Catholic.
