Courtney Ethridge will be the principal at Resurrection after serving the past year as assistant principal at the school.

Father Jerry Pratt, pastor of Resurrection Parish in Evansville, appointed Courtney Ethridge to serve as principal of Resurrection School in Evansville.

Ethridge has been at Resurrection for the past 15 years and said Resurrection “is truly my home.”

“I can’t imagine being anywhere else,” she said. “I have a deep love for our students and families, and I’m constantly inspired by the dedication and heart of our staff. When the opportunity arose to serve as principal, I saw it as a chance to continue supporting this incredible community in an even greater capacity.”

Father Pratt noted Ethridge served as a Language Arts teacher for 14 years at Resurrection prior to serving as assistant principal last school year.

“Courtney just completed a post graduate degree in administration and had that on-the-job experience last school year,” Father Pratt said. “She has an enthusiasm for what she’s doing and had a tremendous knowledge of our school and its culture. We’re glad to have her lead us into the future.”

Ethridge believes her experience at Resurrection School gives her a strong understanding of their families and their unique needs. A knowledge of their background helps her to lead with compassion and insight, she said.

“I’ve walked alongside many of our students through both joyful and challenging moments,” Ethridge said. “And those experiences shape the way I approach leadership. They help me make informed, empathetic decisions that are rooted in a deep commitment to faith and our school’s mission.”
