Event focusing on the Eucharist available to parishes, groups

Special to The Message

Steve Leugers and Linus Lampert are excited about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. But that’s nothing new.

Leugers and Lampert, both of Jasper, have been offering presentations on the Real Presence for quite some time. Leugers has made more than 20 presentations in parishes across the diocese, and Lampert has been part of more than half of them.

During the Diocese of Evansville’s Eucharistic Renewal, the pair are offering their informative and educational program at no charge to parishes across our 12 counties. Entitled “The Eucharist: What We Believe and Why,” the presentation includes talks by Leugers and Lampert; the Ignatius Press short film “I am the Living Bread;” and the short film “The Veil Removed.”

They also will have a display highlighting Eucharistic miracles from around the world.

About Steve Leugers

A member of St. Mary Parish in Ireland, Steve got involved in leading Bible studies and adult education over 25 years ago. He learned to really enjoy the Gospel of John, especially the Bread of Life Discourse in John 6. As Steve continued to read and research about the Eucharist, opportunities came up for him to speak at various parishes across the diocese. He also completed lay classes at St. Meinrad.

About Linus Lampert

A member of Holy Family Parish in Jasper, Linus loves Jesus and Catholicism. He attends Mass daily and prays multiple rosaries daily. He has served 23 times as a team member for Christ Renews His Parish retreats, which are now known as Welcome. Linus speaks about his personal experiences with the Eucharist.

“The Eucharist: What We Believe and Why” is available to parishes across the Diocese of Evansville at no charge. To schedule a presentation or get more information, email Leugers at [email protected].
