Knights raise $17,750 through Hunger Bowl

On Sept. 10, Evansville-area Knights of Columbus councils presented $17,750 from the 2022 Hunger Bowl to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Shown during the presentation are Walt Peycha of the Indiana State Council of the Knights of Columbus, Hunger Bowl co-chair John Sandwell of Auxilio Council #16454 of St. Philip Parish in Posey County and Corpus Christi Parish in Evansville, Bishop Joseph M. Siegel, Benedictine Sister Donna Marie Herr, director of the food pantry, Deacon Dan Niemeier, president of Mater Dei High School in Evansville, and seniors Emma Smith and Hugh Pearce of Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville. Hunger Bowl co-chair Mark Hackert of Council #7544 of St. Benedict Cathedral Parish in Evansville was unable to attend the presentation.
