Bucket list vacation destination: Someday, I would like to visit Les Bulles, Belgium, to visit the church where my ancestors were baptized.

The priest or deacon who baptized you: Father Gordon Mann

The priest who heard your First Confession: Father Bill Wargel

Your Confirmation Saint: I chose Saint Philip Neri as my Confirmation Saint for his joyful humility and sense of humor. I admire the way he lived out his priesthood with an intense desire to share the Gospel.

Favorite Bible verse: Over the past year, I have been contemplating the scene where Peter steps out on the water with Jesus. Peter becomes afraid when he sees the wind and begins to sink, and he cries out to Jesus to save him (Matthew 14:22-33). In many ways, my seminary experience models this story. In prayer, I hear Christ reminding me to keep my gaze and attention on him, rather than on the doubts and fears surrounding me.
