Siena group for young women forms

Special to The Message

A new community of faith formation for young women called Siena is forming in the Diocese of Evansville. Several young-adult women are leading the new group, modeling their vision off of the Savio brotherhood for young men that is active in the diocese.

The new Siena group for young women held its second gathering in conjunction with the July 24 Cleric Cup volleyball tournament in Haubstadt. They played exhibition games against Team Savio and gathered for this group photo in the Old Haubstadt Gym. Visit EvansvilleVocations.org for more information on Siena. Siena held its second gathering July 24 in Haubstadt, in conjunction with a Mass for vocations and the second Cleric Cup volleyball tournament. Twenty-four girls attended to pray together and talk about virtue. Siena faced off against Savio in an exhibition game before the Cleric Cup tournament began.

High school and junior high girls interested in Siena can sign up for the email list by visiting EvansvilleVocations.org.
