Students in Renee Chandler’s kindergarten class at St. Benedict Cathedral School in Evansville learn to read while enjoying a snack during the school’s Nov. 14 Take a Tour Tuesday event. Across the Diocese of Evansville, prospective students and their families visited diocesan Catholic schools, which hosted various open house events on Nov. 14. St. Benedict offered visitors coffee and donuts, tours of the school, and an opportunity to learn more about Catholic education and financial aid. Laurie Schopmeyer, interim principal, said, “Giving school tours during events like donuts and coffee lets parents meet teachers and other faculty more personally and see the school day in action.”
