Bishop Joseph M. Siegel has named Ashley Emery Director of Human Resources for the Diocese of Evansville, effective June 1. Ashley has served as the diocese’s first full-time human-resources manager since June 2021.
Bishop Siegel said, “During her initial two-year tenure on the diocesan staff, Ashely has made a significant, positive impact for the Diocese and its parishes as our first Human Resources Manager. She has established the role, developing effective working relationships with diocesan leadership, clergy and parish administration. She has become a trusted advisor to me in human resources and personnel matters.”
Diocesan Chancellor Dean Happe said, “Along with a strong faith, and a deep commitment to the mission of the Church and the Diocese of Evansville, Ashley has provided a wealth of relevant experience to this role, including over nine years of service as a human-resources professional in various industries. She is a very valuable member of our team.”
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 and an MBA in 2020, both from the University of Southern Indiana, with a concentration in Human Resources Leadership. She joined the diocesan staff after serving as Human Resources Manager for Western Green, the nation’s largest erosion and sediment-control manufacturer. Prior to her service to Western Green, Ashley spent more than nine years with Berry Global, serving in various roles in the company’s HR department.
Ashley said, “I am humbled and beyond blessed to work for the Church I love and with so many amazing people. I am excited to invest my time and talents into furthering the mission of the Church. Please keep me and all diocesan leadership in your prayers."
Ashley and her husband Jonathan have two children - Blaise, 8, and Rose, 6. They are members of Evansville’s Annunciation Parish.
