Deacon McMullen earns board certification

Earlier this year, Deacon John McMullen participated in the 2019 National Association of Catholic Chaplains Conference, "Partners In Pastoral Care," at Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, Illinois, where he earned recognition as a Board Certified Chaplain.

As a newly Board Certified Chaplain, Deacon McMullen participated in the missioning ceremony during the Conference's Opening Mass on May 31.

The NACC advocates for the profession of spiritual care and educates, certifies and supports chaplains, clinical pastoral educators and all members who continue the healing ministry of Jesus in the name of the Church.

Deacon McMullen serves as a Spiritual Caregiver, Chaplain, and Bereavement Coordinator for Deaconess Visiting Nurse Association Hospice in Evansville, and he also serves as Deacon of Annunciation Parish in Evansville.
