MEO awards grants to seven Catholic schools

Marian Educational Outreach has awarded grants totaling more than $6,700 to seven Diocese of Evansville Catholic schools. Funding for a variety of projects will directly impact approximately 575 students.

Following are the schools receiving grants with details on how funds will be used.

Annunciation School, Christ the King Campus, Evansville – rocking chairs to aid student learning, and enhance focus and concentration while working at a desk

Holy Trinity Catholic School, Dubois County – occupational-therapy tools

St. John the Baptist School, Newburgh – “Formed Out of Clay,” an inclusion art project for the entire school

St. Matthew School, Mount Venon – reading-intervention project that targets students with reading and learning disabilities

West Side Catholic School, Evansville – special-education-enrichment materials for the school’s resource rooms

St. Bernard School, Rockport – reading-intervention program

St. Joseph School, Vanderburgh County – reading-intervention program
