Good Shepherd School preschool teacher Kelly Hamilton recently received a cancer diagnosis, and she had surgery April 5 – but not before she got a surprise sendoff from Good Shepherd students, faculty and staff. Good Shepherd teacher Jenny Masterson contacted The Message to let us know that the staff and students wanted to let Miss Kelly know how much they love and support her during this difficult time. On their way to Ascension St. Vincent Surgicare April 5, Kelly’s husband Kevin took a surprise detour to Good Shepherd, where the entire student body, faculty, staff and parish staff were waiting. Many – including Kelly’s preschool students – wore special pink t-shirts in her honor. In one photo, Kevin drives Kelly along the entire length of Good Shepherd, past students, faculty and staff. The other photo shows her preschool students in their t-shirts, waving their signs of support as their teacher rides past. Please keep Kelly, her family and students, and the entire Good Shepherd family in your prayers.
